In fact, when the first time, I tried to solve these simple arithmetic #puzzles, I got most of my answers wrong. However once I revised the basics of Mathematics, I could correctly and quickly solve such maths #puzzles.

As per the rule of BODMAS the answer should be -19.
Please try it again. The answer will be 5. It will get translated to 8+3-18+12 which makes it 5. You can try it on the calculator or in Google search to calculate the answer for the math #puzzle.

Following the rules of BODMAS I did this
2x3=6 Brackets
2(6)=12 Multiply whatever is in brackets by number in front
3x6=18 Multiplication
8+3=11 Addition starting on left
11-18=-7 Subtraction
7+12=19 Addition
