Consecutive Sudoku is one of my favorite types not only as a solver but also as a puzzle creator. One will find many Consecutive Sudoku puzzles on this blog. There is one limitation while creating the Consecutive Sudoku is that it is very difficult to create a Consecutive Sudoku which has symmetric clues. I tried to create a few Consecutive Sudoku with some theme but could not achieve perfection as in the end one will find some hanging clues here and there. Anyway, now there is a new variation to Consecutive Sudoku which is called Consecutive Pairs Sudoku. The difference between the two puzzles is that in Consecutive Pairs Sudoku, converse rules do not apply. It means that not all consecutive numbers are marked. This gives the author the advantage to create some very good-looking designs. I have created a few puzzles of Consecutive Pairs Sudoku type recently which I will be posting soon on this blog.
This Consecutive Pairs Sudoku, I am posting as 178th Sudoku in The League of Extraordinary Ladies & Gentlemen.
Rules of Consecutive Pairs Sudoku
Classic Sudoku Rule applies. Additionally, if a circle is given between two adjacent cells, then the two numbers in those cells must be consecutive. do note that not all circles are given. It means that adjacent cells without a circle may contain either consecutive numbers or nonconsecutive numbers.
