Overlapping Sudoku Puzzle (Fun With Sudoku #157)

Overlapping Sudoku was part of list Sudoku puzzle list which needs to be created as part of the Sudoku Mahabharat 2015-16 Twisted Classics round. This is the second Sudoku, I created for this championship before even finalizing the Sudoku types for this test. Later there were other Sudoku types considered for this test and this Sudoku type was kept as a spare puzzle type in case we want to drop any Sudoku type later. After a few discussions with other stakeholders of this test, we decided to include this Sudoku type as this type represented the Twisted Classics Sudoku theme very well.

Overlapping the Sudoku puzzle can be created in many different ways. Earlier I thought of creating with only one or two columns coming out of overlapping. However, to keep things simple I decided to created full 3 columns out of overlapping for the 9x9 Sudoku puzzle and decided to make a little different variation for the 6x6 Sudoku of this type. However, if someone wants to solve a little different variation of this Sudoku then one can check the puzzle titled Overlapping Sudoku (Daily Sudoku League #118). Rules of Overlapping Sudoku

Apply Standard Classic Sudoku rules to both the grids. In addition, both grids are overlapping.
