Welcome to a puzzle that lives up to its "killer" name! This Little Killer Sudoku is a tough variant that I first created back in 2007, but I avoided making it for years because creating the images was so difficult. Now, with an automated process in place, I've been able to craft a few of these, including this challenging example. The feedback from testers suggested that I should have added even fewer given numbers to make it truly brutal, but with only 4 hints, I still consider this a tough puzzle.
The rule is unique: the clues outside the grid are sums of digits along the diagonals. This requires you to think about the grid in a completely different way, calculating sums across multiple cells. It's a print-friendly puzzle, ideal for advanced solvers looking for a serious mental workout. Are you ready to see how long it takes you to solve this Little Killer?
This Little Killer Sudoku puzzle, which I am posting in the Daily Sudoku League as the 144th Sudoku puzzle in this series. Can you solve this Sudoku puzzle?
