I am experimenting with the different types of mixing with the Trio Sudoku. Earlier I created some puzzles like Non-Consecutive Trio Sudoku and UnTouch Trio Sudoku. This Touchy Trio Sudoku is another type that I liked very much. Regarding today's puzzle, I wanted to create this Sudoku type without giving any hints and I was successful up to some extent. However, to avoid Sudoku being non-unique, I have to give a couple of hints. However, to maintain symmetry, I tried to put corresponding digits on the opposite end which lead to destroying the beautiful logic this Sudoku need to solve. So later I removed these hints to retain the minimum hints which are required to solve this Sudoku. I will mark this Sudoku as the tough one and beginner Sudoku players first should try solving a few Trio Sudoku and Touchy Sudoku puzzles before attempting this Sudoku puzzle.
This Touchy Trio Sudoku, I am posting as my 139th Sudoku in The League of Extraordinary Ladies & Gentlemen.
Rules of Touchy Trio Sudoku
Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Cells with circles must contain the digits 1, 2, and 3. Cells with squares must contain 4, 5, and 6. Blank cells must contain the digits 7, 8, and 9. Additionally, each digit has at least one consecutive adjacent (sharing edges) neighbor.
