This Sudoku type appeared in World Sudoku Championship 2007 in Prague, the Czech Republic with the name Little Killer Sudoku. Now I am naming it Diagonal Little Killer Sudoku. Earlier by default Diagonal rule was considered for this Sudoku type. Later Diagonal Rule has been removed and now without the Diagonal Sudoku rule, this puzzle type is called Little Killer Sudoku.
The current puzzle I created in the year 2007 for the practice of India Sudoku team. I published this puzzle on this blog in the year 2010. At that time I was not knowing to create a good image for this Sudoku type, so this puzzle I scanned it from paper and upload it as a scanned copy. Now I have improved the graphics of this puzzle along with making the hints symmetrical and now re-publishing this Sudoku as 128th Sudoku in the Fun With Sudoku Series.
